Zatay Medical

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about how Zatay Medical works.

What exactly is an educational second opinion?+

It is a written review of your child's existing medical information by an experienced specialist. It helps you understand the findings and prepare informed questions for your treating team. It is educational only — it is not a diagnosis, treatment, or prescription.

Do you diagnose or treat my child?+

No. We do not examine your child, diagnose, prescribe, or provide treatment. Those decisions stay with your treating clinicians, who have examined your child directly. Where regulated clinical care is needed, our InnoMedics service can coordinate it with an appropriate clinic.

Who reviews my case?+

A relevant specialist from our multidisciplinary team — for example a paediatric neurologist, child psychiatrist, or paediatrician. For multidisciplinary packages, two or more specialists contribute.

What do I need to provide?+

Your child's relevant medical records, imaging reports, and any short videos. You can upload these securely during intake or later through your case panel.

How long does it take?+

Most educational reviews are delivered within 7–10 working days, depending on the package and the complexity of the case.

Is my data kept private?+

Yes. Health information is treated as special-category data under the UK GDPR, stored on EU/EEA-region infrastructure with encryption, and accessible only to the people involved in your review. See our Privacy & GDPR page.

What languages do you work in?+

Our reports and service are currently provided in English. If you need support in another language, contact us before starting.

Can I get a refund?+

Because reviews involve specialist time, refunds are limited once work has begun. If something isn't right, contact us and we'll do our best to help.

What should I bring for an in-person evaluation (InnoMedics)?+

Bring copies of previous tests and reports — MRI, EEG/EMG, and blood results — along with your child's medical history, and a list of all current medications. You don't need to arrange any tests before arrival; if anything further is needed, it can be organised on the day. If you've already completed our intake form, there's no need to repeat it.

Is imaging and EEG available during an in-person visit?+

Yes. Through the partner clinic, EEG can be carried out on-site (and in some cases at your accommodation), and MRI and other imaging are arranged via a partner provider. A recent EEG from elsewhere may be accepted; older recordings may need to be repeated.

What does follow-up look like after an in-person evaluation?+

A follow-up appointment can usually be arranged within the first month. The partner clinic offers ongoing patient follow-up, with contact details shared after the first visit so families can stay in touch.

Can you help with travel and accommodation for an in-person visit?+

Yes — as part of InnoMedics coordination we can offer guidance on getting to the clinic and on nearby accommodation. Any hotels suggested are for convenience only; we have no commercial affiliation with them.

Zatay Medical provides independent educational reviews only. Our reports are not a diagnosis, treatment, or prescription, and do not replace care from your treating physician.
